Lateral ArtSpace

Years active: 2012 –

Lateral ArtSpace is an independent contemporary art platform initiated in April 2012, as an experimental platform for young and emerging artists, with a focus on the dialogue between local and international artists. Until December 2019, Lateral ArtSpace was located at Fabrica de Pensule, a former paintbrush factory transformed into the most acclaimed independent art center in Romania. Since closing the exhibition space at the end of 2019, the team implemented cultural projects focusing on contemporary art and the artist run sector at various locations in Romania or abroad. Lateral ArtSpace is coordinated by Cristina Curcan/musz and Lucian Indrei, in association with Dragoș Bădiță.
